Why Nanamoon? The Story Behind the Name

Choosing a name for Nanamoon was more than just branding—it was about meaning, intuition, and a deep personal connection.

The journey of Nanamoon started with my daughter, Dana. She was my muse, my inspiration, and the spark behind the first collection. Her nickname, Nana, naturally found its way into the brand name, carrying with it the love, joy, and energy that she and so many girls around us embody.

The Moon: A Symbol of Intuition & Femininity

The second half of the name, Moon, came to me just as naturally. After years of being deeply immersed in action, logic, and movement—the yang side of life—I found myself entering a new phase, one that embraced intuition, reflection, and inner balance. The moon, with its cycles of renewal and quiet strength, became a perfect symbol of this shift.

Beyond personal meaning, the moon has long been a symbol of femininity, softness, and the natural rhythm of life—qualities that resonate deeply with Nanamoon’s essence.
